Port Gamble Mill Site Cleanup
Public access to the old Port Gamble mill site has been closed due to the ongoing site cleanup and restoration project occurring over the next year.
Accommodations are being implemented to allow us to continue to offer rentals, demos, tours, and classes but no other public use of the mill site will be allowed. Please visit our shop and you will be directed where to park and how to access our rentals.

* Summer hours generally run May through Labor Day. Rentals available weather permitting. We recommend giving us a call at (360) 297-4659 to check on local conditions. Rentals must return at least 30 minutes before closing. Last rentals go out no later than an hour and a half before closing.

Olympic Outdoor Center is open year round in Port Gamble, WA to provide our customers with not only a year round source for top quality paddling gear, but to also act as a resource to help perspective buyers make informed and educated decisions.
Choosing the right piece of equipment will help you to further enjoy your time on the water. You will be able to stay out longer, be more comfortable and stay safe. A large and integral part of that decision hinges on your ability to try before you buy. That is why we offer free Kayak and SUP demos year round.

From our Port Gamble beach there are amazing overnight trip options: Kitsap Memorial State Park, the beautiful, secluded Washington Water Trails campsite, Seabeck's Scenic Beach State Park, or do an amazing multi-day trip in the Canal. Distances listed are for round trip travel in nautical miles (1 nautical mile = 1.15 miles)

Weather & Conditions
Note: Port Gamble is not recommended for first timers or beginners, the bay is wide and open to the elements and there is little boat traffic to help in a rescue. We recommend selecting our Poulsbo location for beginners which is at the end of a protected bay.
