Warranty Information

Global Product Warranty

All Gearlab Outdoors paddles (“paddles”) purchased directly from Gearlab Outdoors (“Gearlab”) or from one of our authorized retailers are warranted to be free from manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for one year from the date of purchase. Within the warranty period, Gearlab will either repair, replace, or refund any products deemed to be defective at Gearlab’s discretion.

Warranty Process

Please contact Gearlab Outdoors at sales@gearlaboutdoors.com with description of the issue, photograph(s), serial number of the paddle, and proof of purchase to initiate the warranty process. If Gearlab deems the product to be defective, Gearlab will issue a Return Authorization Number to the customer with instructions of how to proceed. If the product is no longer available or unrepairable, Gearlab will provide a reasonable refund or similar replacement.

After Repair & Replace

Gearlab Outdoors guarantee our repair and replacement for 90 days or the remaining term of your warranty, whichever is longer.

Returns & Exchanges

We understand that it can be difficult to get that perfect piece of gear the first time around. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will grant a full refund or exchange. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs for returns unless the return is a result of our error or a manufacturing defect.

Item(s) must be in new condition, not missing parts, tags, or instructions and in resalable condition. Items eligible to be returned must be post marked within 30 days of their receipt by buyer, or no later than 45 days after their initial shipment. We do not grant refunds or exchanges for custom, discontinued, clearance, or closeout items except due to our error or an undisclosed defect.

The First Carbon Fiber Norsaq Paddle.

Gearlab Outdoors is proud to introduce their first norsaq, a tool used in many styles of Greenland rolls.

The Aleut and Inuit people used norsaqs as a leverage tool to add power when throwing harpoons. The dwarf paddle sat on top of their kayak and helped them roll when their Greenland paddle was dropped. Norsaqs - also known as rolling sticks, rolling pins, throwing sticks, atlatl, and woomera - are now rarely used as originally intended with harpoons, but they remain a tool used in many styles of Greenland rolls.

Fun for Rolling

Pikatti means “companion” in the Inuit language and, indeed, this norsaq serves as a paddler’s partner for challenging rolls. The Pikatti retains the traditional Inuit shape, but utilizes Gearlab Outdoors' modern composite carbon fiber to produce a strong, light and buoyant norsaq.  With its catchy Gearlab logo, the Pikatti is certain to be a fun norsaq for rolling.
