As a former English and History teacher, classical guitar instructor, ski coach, and outdoor educator, Brian has a diverse background in education. Brian brings a unique blend of patience, humor, and insight to every learning experience.

While he’s taught many subjects over the years, sea kayaking is his true passion. Brian leads multi-day expeditions along the rugged coastlines of Washington and Oregon, guiding paddlers through dynamic venues like La Push, Deception Pass, Bowman Bay, and the broader Salish Sea. His thoughtful coaching helps students build the skills and confidence needed to explore open water safely and joyfully.
