The go to river running blade, the Powerhouse sets a high bar. Large blades provide a ton of power through the stroke and a ton of support when bracing. Super durable! Forrest W.

Trusted on the hardest runs in the world and those firing up the hardest line on their local run are the Werner river running paddles. The Powerhouse and its smaller counterpart the Sherpa offer Bomber reliability, tested and proven where it counts.

With a more pronounced tip and more surface area above the center of the blade, this design is optimized for a better forward stroke. So for the core elements of river running, pulling yourself through or over holes and drops, breaking in and out of current and ferrying across current, these blades are your best choice. The best white water boaters in the world believe in our designs. Werner's white water designs have a slight dihedral for smooth vertical maneuvering strokes. Note we also flatten the back face spine to aid in these strokes.
BOMBER = Reliable. Werner's legendary bomber reputation has given paddlers decades of confidence on the most extreme rivers across the world. With utmost attention to detail, design and craftsmanship, Werner shafts are all handmade at their production facility in Sultan WA, USA. Werner is able to place our choice of fiberglass and carbon materials exactly where it's needed. The result is an unmatched combination of flex, weight and of course strength. With advanced design and materials in the blades and shafts, look no further than Werner to see who the leaders in white water are. Whether you go with straight shaft, or neutral bent, Werner shafts have a unique feel. Notice the texture, the indexing. Designed to give you more comfort and control and to be able to feel the precision of every one of your strokes.
Choosing the proper shaft size (diameter of the shaft) for your hands assures a more comfortable experience on the water. You'll maintain a lighter grip for better technique, allowing better control and reduced fatigue. Measure your hand size by placing a ruler at the base of your hand (at the joint of your wrist) and measuring to the tip of your middle finger. If you measure smaller than 6.5" we suggest small shaft. Longer, go to the standard shaft. If you are on the line, we suggest you try both at an authorized Werner dealer and see for yourself. Paddlers with shorter, thicker fingers also gravitate to small shaft.
Available in our straight-standard diameter shafts, you can get your white water or coastal play paddle in 2-piece. Easier to travel with or stow away under sea kayak deck-lines. Note. Available in 2 standard feather angles. L45-0-R45. L30-R30.
Straight shaft kayak paddles are the most common choice among paddlers and are ideal for those that like a traditional, simple feel. Straight paddles will save weight and cost while allowing for more variety in hand position.
Paddles with a river running blade shape will have a more pronounced tip and larger portion of the surface area above the center line of the blade. This allows for an earlier more powerful catch providing a more powerful forward stroke, making them ideal for river running, creeking or coastal rock gardening.
Werner Paddles makes the promise that their pride and quality workmanship will be evident every time you pick up your paddle. You can see it in the unsurpassed attention to quality and feel it with every paddle stroke. Werner paddles are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Within the warranty period, all paddles found to have defects will be repaired when possible or when a repair is not possible, replaced at no charge. Second hand paddles, including dealer rental or demo paddles, are not covered under warranty.

Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards are only available for in-store pickup or local delivery within the Puget Sound area of Western Washington. Delivery is free within Kitsap County for boat and board purchases over $1000.00 and starts at $50.00 otherwise. The same topography which makes the Puget Sound area such a wonderful place to paddle, also makes it difficult for us to make deliveries. We all love riding the ferries, but they sure can get expensive!
We do not have the ability to ship Kayaks or SUP's outside of Western Washington at this time.
We know things can change so address corrections do happen. If the correction is due to our error or if the package has not shipped from our facility there is no charge, so notify us as soon as possible. Once the package has shipped there is a service fee up to $15.00 to change the delivery address that is charged to us by the carrier. We may not be able to change the address once the package is in transit and it may have to be returned to us for reshipment. If that's the case then you will be liable for any additional shipping costs.
