Paddle. Bike. Play. Adventure Tour

Kayak segment information: What better way to spend the day than playing outside? Our experienced guides will lead the first part of our outing in kayaks from Port Gamble, where paddlers have excellent views of the Olympic Mountains and the chance to see all sorts of wildlife. The Hood Canal plays host to River Otters, Harbor Porpoise, Harbor Seals, Bald Eagles, Osprey and much more. You can expect to see a wide range of critters while out on the water! We will spend about 2.5 hours in our kayaks exploring the Hood Canal and Port Gamble Bay. In that time the group will paddle approx. 2 - 3 miles of shoreline, depending on the weather and group. Tandem Kayaks are provided as they are more stable for beginners. If you have paddling experience and would prefer to use a single please let us know.

Olympic Outdoor Center will provide all the gear needed in order to be comfortable and safe while out on the water.

*After our paddle we will have an hour for lunch to "recharge our batteries" before heading out on the trails.

Mountain Bike Segment Information: There are over 35 miles of ride-able single track available here at the local Port Gamble / Stottlemeyer Trail system. The trails offers 80% of well maintained single track trails and 20% access roads (wider gravel). There is a tremendous amount of trail diversity for beginner and advanced riders alike. Our route for the day will be for beginning to intermediate riders and will be without significant climbs, obstacles or technical trails. Riders can expect a moderate amount of psychical exertion and participants should already be comfortable on a bike. We will spend a large portion of our ride on single track trails which are about 3 feet wide.
