The Kokatat Endurance Semi Dry Suit (GORE-TEX®) offers 3-layer waterproof protection and superior breathability for fitness, stand up, or recreational paddlers who require a high performance lightweight suit. With a one-hand adjustable neo-cinch neoprene collar, latex wrist cuffs and low profile flexible zippers on the entry and relief zippers.
So what is the difference between a dry suit and a semi dry suit?
A dry suit is going to have a latex neck gasket intended to keep 100% of the water out of the suit. The dry suit is a great option for paddlers who will be immersing themselves intentionally and or on a regular basis. A semi dry suit has a neoprene cinch gasket, which is more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. A neoprene gasket will however let some water in. Is it a lot? No, but enough that if you went over multiple times you would start to "feel the effects". The semi dry suit is a good choice for paddlers who are looking for a high level of thermal protection to protect against incidental immersion in flat water. We use the term "flat-water" here, since this type of suit would not be good for dynamic environments like the surf or the river for example.
In short a semi dry suit is more comfortable for flat water / recreational paddling while the kayak dry suit is the better option for more challenging conditions or intentional or frequent immersion.

Free International Shipping
We are pleased to offer free international shipping on many orders over $750.00 USD. Free International shipping does not apply to orders that include oversize items such as one piece paddles or inflatable kayaks. Read about international shipments.

International Duty, VAT, GST, or other taxes
You can visit www.simplyduty.com to estimate any taxes and fees associated with international orders. These costs are not processed by Olympic Outdoor Center and will be the responsibility of you, the customer, upon receiving the order.
Size Restrictions
Carriers impose varying size restrictions on international shipments and as such not all shipment methods will be available for all products. These restrictions include, but are not limited to, One-Piece Kayak and SUP Paddles which can not be shipped internationally via the United States Postal Service. You may select to ship the items via UPS or choose to custom order a break-down configuration. Kayak paddles can be ordered in 2 or 4 piece configurations, SUP paddles can be ordered in a 3 piece travel configuration.
Over-Sized Items
One Piece Paddles
Due to the oversize nature of one piece whitewater and SUP paddles, and recent changes in the shipping industry, standard shipping on these items starts at $14.95. One-Piece Kayak and SUP Paddles cannot be shipped internationally via the United States Postal Service. You may select to ship the items via UPS or choose to custom order a break-down configuration. Kayak paddles can be ordered in either 2 or 4 piece configurations, while SUP paddles can be ordered in a 3 piece travel configuration.
Overweight Items
The cost of standard shipping on heavier items shipped within the continental U.S. will range in price from $14.95 - $24.95 depending on the size and weight. To find out the exact cost of shipping, simply add the item to your cart and enter the required shipping info.
Kayaks & Paddle Boards
Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards are only available for in-store pickup or local delivery within the Puget Sound area of Western Washington. Delivery is free within Kitsap County for boat and board purchases over $1000.00 and starts at $50.00 otherwise. The same topography which makes the Puget Sound area such a wonderful place to paddle, also makes it difficult for us to make deliveries. We all love riding the ferries, but they sure can get expensive!
We do not have the ability to ship Kayaks or SUP's outside of Western Washington at this time.
Other Charges
Address Corrections
We know things can change so address corrections do happen. If the correction is due to our error or if the package has not shipped from our facility there is no charge, so notify us as soon as possible. Once the package has shipped there is a service fee up to $15.00 to change the delivery address that is charged to us by the carrier. We may not be able to change the address once the package is in transit and it may have to be returned to us for reshipment. If that's the case then you will be liable for any additional shipping costs.
Returns & Exchanges
We understand that it can be difficult to get that perfect piece of gear the first time around. That is why here at Olympic Outdoor Center if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will grant a full refund or exchange the product for your preferred size or color. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs for returns and/or exchanges. OOC will pay the shipping costs, including shipping refunds, if the return is a result of our error or a manufacturing defect (return tracking number required). Learn More
Do not measure yourself. Measurements should be performed by an authorized and trained Kokatat retailer. Failing that, someone you trust to get in close with a cloth measuring tape.
Just relax! Look forward and stand up straight with your feet about 12 inches apart. Don’t move around and look straight ahead. Stop looking at your measuring partner or the floor.
Take measurements in street clothes and bare feet. DO NOT make allowances for insulation layers under the suit. Kokatat patterns are designed to allow for adequate layering under dry suits.
Remember… measure twice, cut once.
Chest: Take this measurement at the widest point. This is usually at the nipple area. Do not hold your breath, just relax. If the person is muscular, take a second measurement at the armpit area, across the upper chest. Use the larger of the two measurements.
Waist: Measure just above your hip bone where your body bends when bending sideways.
Torso: This measurement is for the entire torso length. Place the tape at the base of the neck on top of the shoulder. Run the tape down the front, through the crotch and up the back to the starting point on the shoulder.
Hips: Take this measurement from the side to ensure the correct placement of the tape. Place the tape around the hips and across the widest point of the buttocks. This might be a good time to come up with a descriptive word other than “widest”. Make sure that all pockets are empty.
Inseam: This is also referred to as the “crotch to ankle bone” measurement for those very secure individuals. Have the person stand with legs straight and feet about 12" apart. Have them hold their hand to the side, with palm facing out. Place the end of the measuring tape between their first two fingers. Ask them to place the hand with the tape in their crotch area, snug up against the body. Just relax! Stretch the tape straight down your ankle bone. Ask the person to look straight ahead, turn their head to the right and cough.
Sleeve: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone.
A NOTE ON DRY SUIT SIZING
A common mistake with dry suits is making a judgment about the size by looking at the garment while still on the hanger. A suit on the rack always looks way bigger than when it is on you. If you fall on the high end of the size scale, move up to the next size and consider shortening sleeves and legs. Kokatat offers very reasonable priced customization on suits.
