The miles of inland waterways of the Pacific Northwest are among the best in the world for paddling. Beautiful scenery, intricate and protected waterways, and abundant marine life define the area, while on shore are ample public parklands for camping and exploring.
The 60 trips in this extensively updated 3rd edition of the bestselling Kayaking Puget Sound & the San Juan Islands cover the Sound's myriad islands, fjord-like canals, and inlets from Canada's Gulf Islands to the Nisqually River Delta, including the fabulous San Juan Islands and the unique Hood Canal. Each trip description covers all the details paddlers need to plan and complete specific tours throughout the region.
Other important updates to this 3rd edition include: modern safety tips (emphasis on proper gear and PFDs); a list of weather resources; how to make use of cell phones and mobile apps that utilize GPS and real-time navigational data; a resources section on kayaking training in the region through paddle clubs, certification groups, and paddle shops; how to prepare for open water trips; new info on how to cross into Canada; and more. Kayaking Puget Sound & the San Juan Islands, 3rd Edition, gives novice paddlers, weekenders, and lifelong kayakers the inspiration and knowledge to get out and explore the Northwest via its singular waterways.

These restrictions include, but are not limited to, One-Piece Kayak and SUP Paddles which can not be shipped internationally via the United States Postal Service. You may select to ship the items via UPS or choose to custom order a break-down configuration. Kayak paddles can be ordered in 2 or 4 piece configurations, SUP paddles can be ordered in a 3 piece travel configuration.
Due to the oversize nature of one piece whitewater and SUP paddles, and recent changes in the shipping industry, standard shipping on these items starts at $14.95. One-Piece Kayak and SUP Paddles cannot be shipped internationally via the United States Postal Service. You may select to ship the items via UPS or choose to custom order a break-down configuration. Kayak paddles can be ordered in either 2 or 4 piece configurations, while SUP paddles can be ordered in a 3 piece travel configuration.

Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards are only available for in-store pickup or local delivery within the Puget Sound area of Western Washington. Delivery is free within Kitsap County for boat and board purchases over $1000.00 and starts at $50.00 otherwise. The same topography which makes the Puget Sound area such a wonderful place to paddle, also makes it difficult for us to make deliveries. We all love riding the ferries, but they sure can get expensive!
We do not have the ability to ship Kayaks or SUP's outside of Western Washington at this time.
We know things can change so address corrections do happen. If the correction is due to our error or if the package has not shipped from our facility there is no charge, so notify us as soon as possible. Once the package has shipped there is a service fee up to $15.00 to change the delivery address that is charged to us by the carrier. We may not be able to change the address once the package is in transit and it may have to be returned to us for reshipment. If that's the case then you will be liable for any additional shipping costs.
We understand that it can be difficult to get that perfect piece of gear the first time around. That is why here at Olympic Outdoor Center if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we will grant a full refund or exchange the product for your preferred size or color. Customers are responsible for the shipping costs for returns and/or exchanges. OOC will pay the shipping costs, including shipping refunds, if the return is a result of our error or a manufacturing defect (return tracking number required). Learn More
