Local DeliveryKayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards are only available for in-store pickup or local delivery within the Puget Sound area of Western Washington. Delivery is available for free on new boat and board purchases of at least $1500 and within 30 miles of our Port Gamble, Washington store. A ferry surcharge may apply for deliveries to Seattle and the east side of Puget Sound. We do not have the ability to ship Kayaks or SUP's, other than inflatables, outside of Western Washington at this time.
The same geography which makes the Puget Sound area such a wonderful place to paddle, also makes it difficult for us to make deliveries. We all love riding the ferries, but they sure can get expensive! Deliveries to Seattle and the east side of Puget Sound on purchases under $3000 are subject to a ferry surcharge up to $60. See the map for approximate delivery radius. If you add the boat or board to your cart we have a shipping calculator which will show you if delivery is available for your address, and whether any charges will apply. If you are outside of this area or have any other special considerations you can give us a call at (360) 297-4659 and we will be happy to see what we can work out for you.

Slightly wider and shorter than its predecessor the Prana, the Sisu is more nimble and maneuverable as well. This exciting sea kayak is also extremely user friendly for aspiring paddlers to rapidly develop skills and elevate performance. The standard Sisu boats a roomy cockpit that accommodates a wide range of statures. The Sisu's unique chine configuration make it very stable on edge, allowing the paddler a tremendous amount of control and confidence in all types of conditions. The Sisu rips in current and on the face of waves due to a convex bow which works to keep the bow from getting buried.
Current Design's vacuum-bagged fiberglass laminate is a notch above most other fiberglass products on the market. Vacuum-bagging allows Current Designs to select and place reinforcing materials to provide the optimal strength and stiffness properties without adding unnecessary weight. The result is a superbly crafted composite kayak that's impeccably finished inside and out.
*Available in Fiberglass and Kevlar composite constructions with exceptional outfitting throughout. Also available in a LV (low volume) configuration with a reduced depth of 3/4".

Swede Form: Widest behind the cockpit, Swede form has a cleaner, longer, and more slender entry, giving efficient touring speeds and maneuverability. In shorter lengths these kayaks are very responsive. Longer kayaks with this feature have amazing acceleration and track well. Because of the narrow bow they may punch through a steep wave, rather than ride over it.
Touring Cockpit: Touring cockpits are somewhat small to help resist imploding of the spray skirt if hit by a large wave in rough water. They include built-in thigh braces on the cockpit rim to maximize control when edging and rolling. They range from 29” to 35” long, depending on the model.
Hard Chine: A hard chine kayak has a well defined edge where the hull bottom meets the sides. This increases the initial stability greatly. Hard chines give defined edging angles and assist in holding an edge.
Shallow V: The “V” shape improves tracking, has a lively feel and delivers very comfortable stability.
Paddler Size: Medium to Extra Large Stature Paddlers and their gear.
Current Design divides the Kayak into four parts as it relates to custom color options: Deck, Hull, Seam and Cockpit Coaming.

You have the option of 15 different colors for each section, so you can create a kayak that is truly one of a kind. Current Designs has a color tool available on their website on the pages for the specific kayak. Once there click the tab labeled "colors and options", that will allow you to preview the different options before making a decision.
