$3,599.00 – Sold Out
Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards are only available for in-store pickup or local delivery within the Puget Sound area of Western Washington. Delivery is available for free on new boat and board purchases of at least $1500 and within 30 miles of our Port Gamble, Washington store. A ferry surcharge may apply for deliveries to Seattle and the east side of Puget Sound. We do not have the ability to ship Kayaks or SUP's, other than inflatables, outside of Western Washington at this time.
The same geography which makes the Puget Sound area such a wonderful place to paddle, also makes it difficult for us to make deliveries. We all love riding the ferries, but they sure can get expensive! Deliveries to Seattle and the east side of Puget Sound on purchases under $3000 are subject to a ferry surcharge up to $60. See the map for approximate delivery radius. If you add the boat or board to your cart we have a shipping calculator which will show you if delivery is available for your address, and whether any charges will apply. If you are outside of this area or have any other special considerations you can give us a call at (360) 297-4659 and we will be happy to see what we can work out for you.
The Equinox GTS is the new, smaller, playful North American designed kayak for small to medium stature paddlers.
Nimble, efficient and straight tracking are just some of the highlights you’ll experience. Smaller paddlers will appreciate this compact kayak on evening tours and long weekend excursions. The user-friendly key-hole cockpit and complete outfitting make the Equinox GTS ready for your next adventure.
The Equinox GTS is a narrower kayak, at 22" wide, with a little less capacity than its big sister the Equinox GT.
Current Design's vacuum-bagged fiberglass laminate is a notch above most other fiberglass products on the market. Vacuum-bagging allows Current Designs to select and place reinforcing materials to provide the optimal strength and stiffness properties without adding unnecessary weight. The result is a superbly crafted composite kayak that's impeccably finished inside and out.
Symmetrical Form: Symmetrical form is just as it sounds. The shape is identical fore and aft from the center point of the kayak.
Touring Cockpit: Touring cockpits are somewhat small to help resist imploding of the spray skirt if hit by a large wave in rough water. They include built-in thigh braces on the cockpit rim to maximize control when edging and rolling. They range from 29” to 35” long, depending on the model.
Soft Chine: A smooth transition from the bottom of the hull to the sides. Soft chines give smooth edging at unlimited angles. The majority of kayaks that we build have a soft chine.
Shallow Arch (Flat"ish" Bottom): These kayaks have good initial stability and are highly maneuverable.
Paddler Size: Small to Large Stature Paddlers and their gear.
Current Design divides the Kayak into four parts as it relates to custom color options: Deck, Hull, Seam and Cockpit Coaming.
*White Available but not show
You have the option of 15 different colors for each section, so you can create a kayak that is truly one of a kind. Current Designs has a color tool available on their website on the pages for the specific kayak. Once there click the tab labeled "colors and options", that will allow you to preview the different options before making a decision.
Custom Color Example: Deck - Caribbean Hull - White Seam - Lime Coaming - Lime
*If you are interested in adding any of the premium or custom color options above please give us a call, 360-297-4659, we are happy to help you get squared away!
