2015 10'6" Cross

It is hard to design a board that works well in both situations, but it has been our mission to find that perfect mix of characteristics that satisfies both environments. Amundson's designers used Constant Flow rocker, which makes them track well so you are not switching the paddle from side to side all the time, but keeps them loose enough so you can have some fun in the surf. They also incorporated a flat bottom, which maximizes stability, and a little kick in the nose to prevent pearling while dropping into a wave. The Cross 10’6” is 30” wide, with 158 liters of volume, and quite light. Experienced paddlers can handle the small size, and appreciate the surfing performance. Stable enough for lighter paddlers, they will find it a great all around board for all conditions. The Cross uses our Rhino-Lite technology. The boards come with three fin boxes, so to maximize wave performance be sure to get the optional side fins.

The Cross boards hit the sweet spot for maximum versatility in an all around board. If you spend a lot of time paddling on lakes, bays, or rivers, but you still want to make sure you have the right board for a trip to the surf, grab a Cross. You will not be disappointed!

Rhino-Lite technology starts with a molded core of water tight fused cell foam. The core is wrapped with fiberglass cloth with extra material on the rails and a thin veneer of wood on the deck to prevent heel dents. The board is placed in a heated vacuum mold, with expanding epoxy resin. The heat and expanding pressure ensures that the resin completely laminates the skin to the core, creating a light and tough board that is resistant to dings and delamination. Rhino-Lite technology is the best combination of weight, durability, and value on the market.
