WRB Liberty Bay Wildlife Tour ‑ Poulsbo, Washington

What to Expect

          You will see the incredible wildlife of liberty bay including: harbor seals, bald eagles, great blue herons and more are common. The paddle is from Poulsbo to Keyport and back. It is about 2.5 miles one way which will take most paddlers about an hour. After arriving in keyport we will break for about an hour and there is a general store that sells ice cream, sandwiches, and snacks. So bring a little money.

Where to Meet

          We meet at Olympic Rental Facility next to the boat ramp and Marine Science center.  18743 Front St, Poulsbo, WA

What is the Timeline?

• 9:30am - Meet in Poulsbo at OOC rental facility
  
• 10:30am - Leave for Keyport
• 11:30pm - Arrive at Keyport for a break
  
• 12:30 - return to Poulsbo
• 1:30pm - Arrive Poulsbo
• 2pm - Party at the Brewery

What To Expect

• We use stable double sit on top kayaks
• We will be putting in on floating dock
  
• You will be wearing a life jacket
• There will be a safety talk before leaving
  
• It can be chilly on the water so pack a jacket
• We will paddle as a group

What To Bring -

(We paddle in Light Rain. We do not paddle in high winds or lightning.)

• • Hardy snack
• • Water Bottle
• • Warm Fleece hat (Windproof if available)
• • Shoes that can get wet, tennis shoes, sandals with straps or hard sole water shoe, NO flip-flops.
  
• • Short or long pants depending on weather (Ideally synthetic).
• • Short or long sleeve shirt depending on the weather (Ideally synthetic).
• • Change of clothes left In your car If the ones your wearing gets wet.
• • Towel for After (Always nice)
• • Warm Fleece jacket, NOT cotton (Windproof if available)
• • light waterproof/water resistant jacket.

• If bringing electronics (phone, camera, etc.) put in dry bag or Double baggie or provide a waterproof case.

• Put Your name on all of your belongings, we are not responsible for lost or stolen gear especially phones, cameras, watches, etc.

Tipping your guides are always a nice gesture for excellent service.
