About Our Company
The Olympic Outdoor Center started in 1986 as a whitewater instruction company, but once John Kuntz, founder and owner, discovered sea and surf kayaking, there was no turning back.
OOC has gone through many transformations, from whitewater rafting/kayaking to snowboarding and biking, to kayak and SUP sales, classes, tours and events.
The Olympic Outdoor Center added Kayak Camps in 1996 and the on-line equipment store, KayakProShop.com in 2002.
In September, 2009 OOC moved from it's long-time hometown of Poulsbo to historic Port Gamble, where KayakProShop.com and the Olympic Outdoor Center happily reside.
